Pros

•Decent pay & weekly check •"Some" great people to work with

Cons

•Horrible management •Customers are extremely rude and even harass us at times •Items are always out of stock even during sale •Employees feel unappreciated almost always •Unexpected schedule changes without alerting others •Manager picks favorites •Horrible scheduling (will have about 4 or 5 people in the morning and 2 or 3 in the evening on a really busy day) •Management does not stand up for employees being verbally harassed •Management not following doctor's orders •Management saying it's not okay to call in sick (this happened mutiple times to my a coworker who has an extremely dangerous lung disease) •Making us do too much work when we are extremely understaffed and busy (such as making pizzas, salads both lettuce for FTG and cold case, boxing chicken and a lot more) we usually end up being behind and sometimes having to stay later to catch up) •Some coworkers putting little or no effort into their job. •No exclusive employee discount or service other than GOT cards which are a joke.

Pros

Decent place to start out at, not sure about other cubs but mine gives raises based on how many hours you work. So if you're willing to stick around and deal with the B.S. you can get paid decently. Part timers earn health and dental insurance after their probationary period (assuming you get a consistent 30 hours a week)

Cons

Good Lord what a mess this place is. Miscommunication is absolutely rampant around here. Depending on who you work with, some coworkers can be pleasant while some can be downright horrible. Being a part of the union means that people who don't deserve their job will continue to keep it and that goes doubly for management. Because this place is trying to squeeze every last red cent out of everything they do, they cut hours down to almost nothing and expect their employees to make up the difference and it really shows in the turnover rate and friendliness of their employees. We used to have weekly checks but that was done away with when they started trying to save money. Happiness is in real short supply around here amongst employees. Not to mention there is next to no room for advancement or being moved to full time around here, so unless you want to spend years of your life here, don't come into this place expecting a career or even a great job. It's a job, nothing more and depending on which location you work at, you'll also be treated to the feeling of being crapped on everytime you come to work. There is no reason to excel in this place because it just gets you crapped on even more. Often times it seems like all management cares about is putting money in their own pockets because I can count on one hand the amount of times I've been told "good job" around here.
