Pros

Teamwork with friendly atmosphere, AFLCIO Union shop with good pay and benefits, Warehouse grocery business with good pricing and selection of grocery and general merchandise

Cons

Left the Chicago Market, after building up Cub East due to purchase of Albertson's. Invested to much in high profile stores. Needed to be a true warehouse store with great prices to survive.

Pros

Positive and friendly atmosphere. The people in your community show up and you can vibe with them.

Cons

In my experience, the departments tend to not operate as a "team" who holds themselves accountable for their department. Rather, they tend to operate as individuals who and do the bare minimum to finish their shift. It has a negative impact on the integrity of the department which bleeds into the integrity of the store. It may or may not have an impact on customers as well.
