CUMMINS in general is a good company to start with your career. It embraces different cultures by hiring people from all over the world. Most people in the company is friendly and willing to provide help. The pay is fairly good compared to the coast area when taking expenses into consideration.

Cons

CUMMINS headquarter is located in Columbus IN, which is a fairly boring small town. You may find peaceful but boring most of the time.

Great people, caring company culture, lots of international opportunities. Almost everyone in Columbus, Indiana (location of their world headquarters) works there or has a family member who does. Everyone in the area really respects Cummins because they've done so much for the community.

Cons

Mostly, I just don't want to work with engines. I'm in marketing and this just wasn't the most interesting product to market (for me, at least). As a young person local to the area, I also didn't want to have any chance of working in Columbus in the future, although they do have a lot of opportunities in other places, so that was less of a factor.
