Great company culture valuing caring for co-workers and team work. Always felt supported by Management and able to choose desired path. Able to see clear path for how to be promoted. Enjoy the work and have a lot of resources available to learn.

Cons

- Timing on Projects is usually unrealistic without buffer and little to know input from team doing work. - Work Life Balance used to be better changed in last few years but still is not too bad. - Not given enough time for training have a lot of great training resources but expected to take them on your own time. - Major Layoffs every 4 years

Easy Work I wouldn't say there's a hard process here in my opinion. Double time after 48hrs Pension

Toxic work environment Poor management all they worry about is them selves getting time off for their family's they will work you like a dog 7 days a week up to 12 hrs day weekly. Micro management happens daily. THIS IS A 7 DAY OPERATION JOB NEVER EXPECT TO WORK 5 DAYS UNLESS TRAINING. Union is a JOKE they are more worried about there relationships with the management than actually standing up for the people who they are supposed to represent. NO WORK LIFE BALANCE be good for someone starting out or that has no kids or family to worry about. NO PLACE FOR JOB ADVANCEMENT THEY PICK WHI THEY LIKE...

Like with any roles, your experience is very leadership dependent. Most people are honest and want to do the right thing, genuinely caring about the customers, but it is very team dependent. You can make of your career what you want, with excellent growth opportunities in the company to help foster anything from a management oriented career path to a very technically focused subject matter expert career path. There are extremely smart technical experts within the company who are easy to approach and can help new employees with any troubles.

Cons

It's a big company with the associated bureaucracies and processes to ensure things don't fall though the cracks. This means that simple things like drawing updates etc. can take an exorbitant amount of time. Some morale within various groups of the company is strongly lacking. Some corporate initiatives are a bit over the top and are not adequately explained to those on the front line.
