Pros

Very structured, corporate directives are well communicated. Great group of people to work with, both peers and subordinates. Lots of business available, just need to go get it.

Cons

Upper and local management had a habit of breaking promises, not following through on their word. Known problems were ignored. Little training provided before being thrown to the wolves.

Decent benefits, six sigma, growth opportunities, good working culture I 've had a great experience working for Cummins. Good Managers and fun working environment. However, as any other company this might differ as per function.

Cons

Locations - most Cummins locations are smaller towns, headquarters is in Columbus, IN. Good place to live with kids. Can be boring for singles

Pros

Traveling and Columbus, IN. Learning was done through submersion in the engine industry.

Cons

Diversity is taken as a checkbox and I became one of those statistics. My role was based purely on gender and not on qualifications. We had ongoing harassment issues on my team and despite repeated attempts to address it nothing was done. Internal movement inside of the company is a joke. Upwards movement is solely based on time in a team and completion of Six Sigma. Ethics were lost on the project I was working on when push came to shove with deadlines. Safety was not considered and there was a very "out of sight, out of mind" attitude with non-US work.
