      Pros

      Global company with product sold around the world. Nice people to work with. Pension, bonus potential, freedom to work remotely when required.

      Cons

      Engineering office environment dismal. Assembly space is strained. Understaffed operations, pressure to build product at pace trumps quality at times. Difficulit to find those with authority to make decisions. Too much focus on quantity of 6 sigma products vs. quality of project. Requirement that all engineers become certified.

      Pros

      Great company culture. Takes good care of full time employees.

      Cons

      Contractors and vendors treated unfairly. No growth potential for track positions. To move up you must move out of the track or even to another company.

      Pros

      The biggest thing that stands out from working with Cummins is they have a superb company culture. The attitude of management toward individual contributors is as good as I've ever seen. All employees regularly are contacted by upper management on the direction of the company, and it really engenders a sense of wholeness with the company.

      Cons

      Geographic flexibility is an absolute must. Unfortunately there are some employees who may be a little incompetent.
