Food quality suffered over time and we at one point had food trucks and before I left it was just cold subpar food. The work can be very monotonous(thankfully listening to music is allowed) and overtime my back and shoulders started to hurt from the repetitive work sitting down.
It is also very difficult to get promoted/move to a different department in the company regardless of your degree and experience. Nepotism is huge here and sadly the really good jobs go to people who aren't necessarily the best workers or most qualified. For example, I have a STEM degree with experience and was one of the best accessioners and lost out on a better paying position in the company to someone with no degree and barely any experience because that person knew the interviewer.
Regardless, it's a good company to get your beak wet but not great if you want to learn some real lab skills. I would have left anyways, but who knows maybe I would have stayed if I got that position.
