Pros

With so many disciplines in-house and a long history of successful projects, the opportunity to work on different types of projects and with several project teams is great. The people are genuinely kind and supportive with good support and tech to work in any location. New roles within the project teams offer career growth for those outside the architecture and engineering disciplines. You can work on a wide variety of initiatives if you step up and speak up. You will need to push yourself; it is not a hand holding type of firm. Leadership has embraced our history while pushing the company forward in technology and design. It is an exciting time to be at Cushing Terrell.

Cons

I don’t have any cons. Cushing Terrell is constantly growing and changing and has the typical growing pains of any large firm.

Pros

This is the place to have a career. With a diverse range of locations, disciplines, and project types an individual has the opportunity to write their own adventure. One can expand and grow in areas of interest (other than their primary discipline) that may not be available in other settings.

Cons

Navigating the size and structure of the firm can be daunting for new hires.

Pros

What a treat to be able to live in Bozeman, Montana and work for a company that does international work! We are given enough autonomy to create a strong local presence and to build great client relationships, while having the backing of experienced architects and engineers across the country. I love that we can simultaneously serve local clients like small businesses, school districts, and home owners, while having opportunities to work with national clients around the country, and sometimes around the world. My coworkers are passionate about their futures and we are continually working on building strong cultures across our offices.

Cons

It is a big ship to turn, but over the last ten years senior leadership has really improved the speed at which changes are implemented.
