Pros

Good company for freshers. Good learning curve.

Cons

Salary very less when compared with other competitors in the market. Career stagnates after working for 4-5 years.

12 years at Cyient

Pros

The pay was good for the position after a few years.

Cons

Worked for Cyient/InfoTech for 12 years. Was "separated" 2 months shy of collecting stock options, due to lack of work. Direct supervisor/Team lead was so inexperienced that he cost me my job. Had two separate opportunities lined up but when we met with the employer to discuss workflow, team lead was so inept that it hurt rather than helped. It was downright embarrassing. Needless to say, those jobs went to another outsourcing company. That left me jobless. When they brought me in to "separate" me, the HR rep was literally on her first week on the job. Could answer no questions, just gave me the business card for someone else if I had any questions. On top of that, the location manager who did the "separation" didn't even know my name or what department I worked in. 12 years and this guy couldn't care enough to even learn my name. That's great. Cyient has no HR department at all and really never has. It just isn't important to them. They are just looking for someone to bill the client for 40+ hours a week and don't really care about anything else. They go through the motions of employee engagement but there's no real commitment. The best thing I can say about Cyient is that the company I was contracted to was terrific, as were its employees, which is why I stayed so long. Cyient itself, not so much.

Soul draining, meaningless, cold workplace

Pros

The pay is good if you can live with getting paid to sit in a chair and do nothing all day while cyient charges outrageous hourly rates to their customers.

Cons

Meaningless, nonchallenging work. Direct and upper managment are not qualified for their positions and do not know how to lead employees or ensure company success. I was given no work for months at a time due to technical issues and managment short-sightedness but still had to show up everyday and would be given greif if i requested time off. Very bad experience with every aspect of work here.
