Cons

Do they even make any money selling chips? It seemed like all management cared about was price per share. Yes, I know, they did sell chips and make money doing that. But watching lives get trashed because management wanted to see the price per share go up really stunk. Cypress is a real "churn and burn" pit. I think that one out of every twenty hires survives there for more than five years.

Pros

Cypress offers great benefits and above average pay. They also provide employees a chance to take on challenging work immediately upon joining the company.

Cons

The CEO is arrogant and his style has a tendency to trickle down to other managers. Cypress is an "in your face" company and often manages through fear. They also force you to use 11 days of PTO every year during Holiday Shutdown. This leaves you only 4 other days of PTO for the remainder of the year (unless you take unpaid). Raises do not come around more than every 18 months and it can be difficult to move up.

Pros

Was a great company to work for. Before the acquisition employees were empowered to make their own decisions under the core value of we do what is right for Cypress. Business processes were designed for quickness and employees has specific goals each quarter to execute

Cons

Those core values are gone and it takes forever to get things approved. Have fun having meetings early in the morning starting at 5-6am. The German Bureaucracy rules the nest and its almost impossible to get new ideas approve. I recommend to "RUN FORREST RUN" and avoid this company. What a shame.
