Pros

Cypress offers great benefits and above average pay. They also provide employees a chance to take on challenging work immediately upon joining the company.

Cons

The CEO is arrogant and his style has a tendency to trickle down to other managers. Cypress is an "in your face" company and often manages through fear. They also force you to use 11 days of PTO every year during Holiday Shutdown. This leaves you only 4 other days of PTO for the remainder of the year (unless you take unpaid). Raises do not come around more than every 18 months and it can be difficult to move up.

Pros

Work atmosphere and challenging tasks assigned to you provide you the "Job Satisfaction". The strenuous interview process ensures that the employees have great technical background and required skill level. Most of the managers are cool, work minded and really inspiring. You would want yourself to grow into and become like them. Basically a memo based system, so anytime you can gain all the knowledge required about a technology/process going through the required memos. All in all, great for a starter to build his career. You need to work your way out to finish the work, no excuses entertained for any kind of failure.

Cons

Less pay, OK benefits, lot of work pressure

Pros

While promotions and compensation are less than desired, the responsibilities given are appreciable. This is especially true for those just beginning their career out of college. The Cypress New College Grad program is very well received, enjoyed and appreciated by those who go through it. It comprises of 1/2 - 1 full year of rotation through different locations and departments. This is to round out your experience and knowledge base before beginning the job you were hired for.

Cons

The compensation is quite low compared to the industry, especially other companies in the Silicon Valley.
