Pros

Pay is below or same as competition, its only 5 mins from my house other than that No pros exist. Would rate this company a 0 rating if it wasn't so close to my house.

Cons

The moral is very poor. Negative people in management positions who don't train the staff and don't care as long as you don't make trouble for them, they hire friends and when they don't perform well they have other people do the work for them. Advancement is non existent, unless you are able to be a yes person and never question the process while sucking up. Management and office workers/ support don"t show up till 9:00 am and leave around 2:00 pm which makes the work load heavier on operations. Operators are expected and threatened to do everything and anything that has to do with the plant from scrubbing toilets to leading projects all while operating a gas plant and there better not be any excuses as to while something went wrong in the plant while you were changing out hot valves, tending to permits, fixing leaks, answering the front door, scheduling contractors, creating new lockouts, redlining P&IDs ect.. Typical HR default responses when ever you bring up a concern and turning a blind eye never willing to work with you, needless to say operations is treated like dirt which does not make sense when you look at a midstream company you thing operations would be its core.

Pros

-This is a good starter job. -There is an age gap so retirement leads to mentoring & promotions for younger employees

Cons

They are cheap. They do not offer competitive pay rates the bonus matches you to what your salary should be at competitors- they don't take care of their machinery- but they expect people to manage the plants efficiently anyway. They don't tackle personnel issues in fact if you go to HR, plan on being reprimanded. Their motto is avoid and pretend you aren't there. This is the place that young people start to work at, realize NO ONE wants to change things because that's how it's always done- and then they flee to the next job that encourages innovation, change and efficiency. This is also the place that older people come to nap on the job or take excessive time off claiming medical reasons and retire. Oh and if someone is let go, expect to take on another person's job. I covered duties for 3 other people while working there. They also will spend high dollar on software that don't talk to other programs but expect people to work with it even though it adds hours to their work load. They also trust the ICC (Integrated Collaboration Center) over actuality. Good luck working with those theories! Also- they will give you a tons of surveys on how the culture is-- then a few months later ask again as if that's enough time to change. They then pressure 100% participation. This company has had such terrible, bullying leadership and they encourage such competitive behavior among their subordinates-that's why the turnover rate remains so high. - They switched to a no name insurance provider (Imagine Health??) in the Houston office that no one really is in network for but Blue Cross Blue Shield is still offered in Denver
