Poor structure, rarely interacted with my boss, who was responsible for writing all of my reviews, etc, interaction with government contractors makes HR side of things challenging

Pros

Excellent work life balance, never worked past 6pm in the last 5 years. Interesting projects, great peers. Management is responsive to needs but largely hands off. Company outlook is excellent.

Cons

In some groups, can have opposite experience. Heard stories of micro management, high pressure to meet unrealistic deadlines. Little opportunity for advancement, most new employees leave within 3-4 years to seek higher pay in a government role or elsewhere in private industry.
