New graduates and early career engineers can gain experience here. Unfortunately, you will not get paid what you are worth.
Cons
Low pay. Engineers will make well below the national median for their job. There is a clear lack of leadership, with some people playing computer games and shooting the breeze for hours on end, while others are working diligently. There are many aggressive, immature colleagues here who like to push others around and some who frequently shout profanities. Dean talks about doing great things, but don't expect to save the world here. Before I left, I was shocked to find out that DEKA partnered with a local gun manufacturer to build weaponized robots. If you want to work on weapons, find work at BAE instead.
