Pros

Your fellow Frontline staff will be the kindest, most amazing people you'll ever meet.

Cons

Dangerous work environment, abusive management, unliveable wages, very little opportunity for growth. Avoid at all costs for your physical and mental safety. You are better off working at a bakery or some sort of pizza place. Do not work here if you care about your own sanity and well-being.

Pros

I guess there's a decent amount of PTO, 6 weeks, but they're closed federal holidays and you need to to use your own PTO for those clsures.

Cons

They are very corporate and "profit" is the primary concern. The board of directors is half cops and half property management and Architects with not a single social worker (some may count police officers as social workers, so maybe read that as no trained social workers) on the board.

Pros

Opportunities for OT, reasonable pay, ~30 days PTO a year, lots of different properties to work at, harm reduction, non-religious, good health insurance, they hire people from all walks of life, they believe in second chances when they want to, they're going through a lot of changes now, so the right person in the right position could have a big impact. Accommodations for school.

Cons

Budget cuts, lack of transparency, no on-the-job training to orient to the job, teams lack communication. Management is inconsistent, striving to uphold the DESC vision, yet each having their own ideas of what that is exactly. Staff can and are verbally and physically assaulted by clients and the situations are rarely discussed seriously with the clients. Harm reduction turns quickly to enabling with the residents as the clinical staff typically see mental health and substance use as a crippling impairment and not something that can be managed successfully. Upward mobility is reserved for people in the click. Intelligence is punished, laziness rewarded. Questioning management makes you a target. Little upward mobility for minorities. High turnover.
