Good culture, but salaries are lacking

Pros

1. Great culture/history 2. Family oriented 3. Diverse projects 4. Independence 5. 401k with match 6. Christmas bonus 7. Job security 8. Health/Dental/HSA 9. Exercise facility 10. Racquetball court

Cons

1. Nepotism. DHI is family owned. There are a few employees that are family with the owners that get away with some very inexcusable situations that would get anyone else terminated immediately, yet they still have a job. Most of the family employees do a good job, but there are a few toxic family employees that shouldn't be employed in my opinion. 2. Salary. The salary is not great here unless you are just getting your foot in the door and need experience, then it's a good starter job. Mid-level and senior developers typically don't get paid anywhere close to what competitors pay.

Good company though a little behind the times

Pros

Great culture and good people. Fiscally responsible with no mass layoffs. Opportunities to advance and move up are good. End of year bonuses have been good. Racquet ball court, small work out room, massages once a week for 10 min. Health saving contribution.

Cons

Benefits are a bit lacking in some areas. The 401k only matches 25% of contributed per paycheck and you can only contribute up to 5% for the match. Health insurance is expensive. Food and drink are "subsidized prices" but not really worth the cost. Nepotism creates unfair advantages to family members of the CEO. Working from home is not effective according to the CEO.

Pros

The benefits of the company are excellent. They pay for exercise, 2000 to your health savings account for family plans, profit sharing plan, 401k, medical, dental, vision, Christmas bonus, yearly raises ect. They have some very smart workers who make the coding/deployment and learning process easy and updated with new technologies.

Cons

I found that their was a lot of drama between employees and management is not very stable as they are constantly changing it. The pay is low compared to industry standards unless you have been working their for years as although they offer yearly raises to good employees they start you low and the increment really goes to raise in living costs.
