Pros

Fair pay, good experience in international shipping policies, company looks good on a resume. Free coffee and water.

Cons

DHL Express customer service center includes inside sales department. While the company provides future experience opportunities it is not a place of choice for a mature adult sales persons. The average age of the inside sales person is around 23.The company only provides international air shipping. No domestic shipping. The compensation is something to be seen but not believed. You will receive a set sales quota every quarter yet nobody can tell you how it is developed. If you do not meet your quota at least 100% you will not receive a commission. You miss by $1 and you will not get paid. If you make too much money and that is determined by senior management, you will not get paid. To add insult to a senior sales person, you are required to make 60 dials per day and make positive contact with 25 persons per day. Ridiculous. The down side to that is calling your same customers every two weeks and asking the same question, do you have anything international I can help you with? The biggest concern are KPI's. How many dials, how many people did you contact, how many.......All that can be manipulated but makes managers happy. Let's face it, not many Americans care to use DHL The worst part of the sales position is each month your manager sits with you listening to your phone calls and you need to do a presentation that makes you feel that you are interviewing to keep your job.
