Pros
If you are a college recruit looking at Exel Logistics, think twice! This is not a place to use as a stepping stone out of college. If you are a dedicated, honest, and ethical individual this is not the place for you to work. Executive leadership does not care about their hourly associates, leaders, or operational staff. If you want to be a monkey on a string, then this is the perfect position for you. If you like working 70 hours a week, no weekends and little vacation, then this is the dream job for you.
Cons
You are constantly accused of wrong doing when you haven't done anything incorrect. It's shoot first then ask questions later. Their software is just a smoke screen they sell to customers. The systems do not have the functionality they sell to the customers. You will see alot of employee's complaining they work alot and are under staffed. Exel bids business so low and over promises what their truly capable of providing to the customer, it creates a ton of manual labor. Exel is not a leader in their industry. The do not have what it takes to grow a customer or an account. The executive leadersship is reactive and not proactive. They don't foresee a problem until it's blown up. It's frustrating for the clients. You constantly have to applogize to the client. Very dysfunctional company. Alot of "clicks" that cover up each other. If you are not in one of those "clicks" you will be transfered or better find another job.
