      people are great to work with. corporate was no clue how stores work

      Pros

      Pay is not bad for the job I do. Discount is ok on most things but on some big ticket items, kayaks, bikes, guns, electronics not as good. People are great, managers are friendly for the most part.

      Cons

      Hours are cut to the bone after Christmas and stay that way till next thanksgiving. Full time gets 32 to 38 hours a week. They will give part time people more hours than full time when its busy (they make less dollars per hour) Training is nonexistent. Will use up pay roll getting ready for a visit from corporate then have a skeleton crew for the next week or two.

      Pros

      -good hours -pay isnt terrible -management for the most part will listen -people are fun to work with -good work enviromnet

      Cons

      -when you start out in training, you hear different ways of doing everything from everyone -at my location the other person in my position has been here way longer than me so they only show them the game plans and how things need to be displayed and only ask for their input not mine, i ask a lot to see the sheet of how is supposed to be displayed and they never show it to me -i have expressed interest in working in other departments and never have gotten the chance -managers can be somewhat degrading in their tone and word choice

      They are usually pretty good at scheduling

      Cons

      Pretty much everything else sucks, horrible pay, no benefits, no chance for advancement, horrible compensation, and they expect much more out of you than you get paid for.
