- told to do 3 different things from three different people
- NO payroll; you have to run around like a chicken with your head cut off
- regardless of your job title or department that you work in, management makes you do BS tasks all over the store
-they need to get their act straight; do they want associates to be customer-service oriented or task-oriented. When you try to do both, you are scolded.
- the customers; the average customer is a slob and can't even put something back on a hook. A lot of them ask for random discounts. This isn't a flea market!!!
- Corporate people don't have a clue
- Most Loss Prevention Managers and District Managers think they are all high and mighty and don't even have the decency to acknowledge you...unless they see you not greet a customer that is 100 feet away from you
-In a nutshell, Dicks Sporting Goods used to be a fun, upbeat place to work. It has gone severly downhill over the years. It is a miserable place to work. You are expected to do above and beyond what is realistic with the resources that you have to work with.
