Pros

-Coworkers share a similar passion -Company benefits -Lots of employee contests with decent rewards -Discount -Schedule flexibility -The coworkers are great. Met several close friends through this job

Cons

-No one set of rules. Each store seems to have their own rules and it makes the job difficult -Half of the managers are incompetent. All they want to do is gossip and complain. However the ones that do care about the job, REALLY care and fantastic to work for -Too much value on numbers and not the employees -Allow customers to walk all over employees and managers. Take "the customer is always right" to the extreme -The training is absolutely horrific. I have worked almost every department, and have only been trained for one. Every transfer was done with no training. New hires quit constantly because of this so turnover is nuts -Theft is very high. Company does not prosecute so prepare to follow people all night

Pros

-The Benfits for full time associates is pretty good for health insurance, dental is alright, and eye is your typical eye insurance. -discount on clearance is a bonus & 50% on select 1 items during certain times. -If you want to work a lot of hours, management is where its at with 10 hour shifts.

Cons

Where do i start? it starts off all good and will be exciting company to work for but after a while you will start to see through the cracks. -Impossible demands with too many hours for lead positions and trying balance between operations and customer service and surprise issues where the balance act of three, one will fail. - Lack of management training, they will give you computer training for about 10 hours and after that, its good luck! -Concern on personal numbers for the store, there is such a drive for surveys and numbers that never see the light of the day to the outside that is drives people to quit.

Overworked, Understaffed & Expectations too high

Pros

You get to meet a variety of different people

Cons

Low Payroll for teammates and the district managers expect the store leadership to work extra hours to get the tasks done. This is on top of being scheduled 50 hours for the week. Needless to say work/life balance is horrible for managers. This is why the managers are consistently leaving the company, in two years 6 managers left the store I was at.
