Pros

Relaxed family atmosphere, co-workers and work/life balance are priorities

Cons

This company ALWAYS finds ways to hind behind the truth to their customers. IT experts that are clients of this company that rip them to shreds from a knowledge level in about 5 minutes. But they ALWAYS want more money, and the amount of money they want is ludicrous based upon their offerings.

Pros

Bellingham is a great place to live and I loved not having a commute.

Cons

The management is very rigid. The person who is in charge of development has never programmed at all in her life. Her only qualifications are from answering the help line and then managing it. So the entire focus for SW development is putting out fires for the customer and hacking in new features they want. There is no sustained effort to actually enhance the product or technology or mature the software processes. For instance, they don't have any test suite before release, therefore causing needless crises for most releases with more fires to put out. Most developers gave up very quickly trying to improve the processes because management just doesn't get it.
