Pros

Free Dish Services!!! Dish offers a pay for performance that is paid out every two weeks.

Cons

When call volume is high, may be required to work a 6th day. During low call volume you may be asked if you want to leave early (this is on a volunteer basis not required.)

Pros

Keeping the work van at home. Working with a variety of customers from many different backgrounds. Support of other technicians.

Cons

Extreme micromanagement. Totally incompetent managers at all levels. Metrics tracked by managers to evaluate technician perfomance and reward bonus money are pure fantasy. The numbers have nothing to do with real performance. No leadership. No sense of being part of a team. Expected to work 12+ hour days with no breaks. Constant negativity from management.

Pros

My best friend worked with me? In all honesty even the fact that they gave me 69.99 off every month for service there weren't any benefits to working for Dish. Except that I had a job and my manager loved me. They didn't support me, I never made pay for performance and when I did it was a mere $50. My benefits were terrible, it was like not having benefits at all. Every other pay for tv company gives you their service completely free and I still had to pay in order to have it. They promised me a lot of things I never saw. So all in all I'm glad I no longer work there.

Cons

Every pay for tv company gives you their services completely free so you know what you're talking about and what you're selling. Not Dish. they give you their top channel package free (america's top 250). I pay for all of my movies and movie channels as well as my dvr and if I had more than one it would be the same. So not only was I a disgruntled employee I was also a disgruntled employee. I made mistakes and paid dearly for them. But Dish offered me pay for performance which was actually unachievable as well as overtime which was never actually available. Their benefits were like having none and their schedules included both weekend days. I would never work for them again. My coach was overwhelmed and none of the coaches were ever approachable Often times it was a fly by the seat of your pants sort of thing.
