From the managers prospective there is only 1 person responsible for any problem with the company and it is always you. We're told often "thats policy and there is nothing you can do about it." As a tech if the customer doesn't have Internet for you to connect to its your fault, if they cancle a work order even if it's at 7am and you havent clocked in yet its your fault, you are expected to reinstall a job someone else left it a mess but still keep the productivity at the level it would be if it had been a simple trouble call. Knowing you will be held responsible for so many things that are out of your control is frustrating, and while you try your best an "I don't care" attitude come out because "there isn't anything you can do about it"

As an employee, youvarebtreated like crap, unless you suck up to less competent managers, who for have been promoted for some unknown reason - perhaps, because they sucked up to their managers. The managers are not responsive to planning or deadlines, unless it's their own. It's "mgt by the seat of their pants" (MBTSOYP). Per employment promises are quickly forgotten and not honored, despite of emails and other reminders. Sad.
