Pros

DLC offers the flexibility of being a Full Time Consultant, with all the generous benefits of working for a large corporation or a start-up, plus a huge amount of project-based variety. It's exactly the role I've been looking for. Been there about a year now and have had great client exposure and opportunity to work for exactly the types of companies I've wanted to experience - I know I'd never have this career opportunity otherwise. If you're looking for a secure, full-time position, but with all the variety, exposure and challenge of project-based work, DLC delivers!

Cons

Can't say I've found any. This is a Consulting firm for BIG4 CPAs, MBAs and highly analytical finance and accounting professionals, and I've met many extremely talented people just in my first year. I've been impressed with the experience so far and would recommend the opportunity to anyone looking for more variety and challenge in their professional lives (that seeks to consult, of course). Remember, you get out of it what you put into it!

Pros

I've been with DLC for more than a decade. It's a great place to work and provides a well-rounded variety in project content. While some projects are better than others the overall goal of the client service directors is to do what's best for both the client and consultants. Additionally I've always found DLC's internal staff to be excellent to work with.

Cons

Some clients can be difficult to work for. As with any job in the accounting industry, the project really depends on the personnel the consultant works with at the client site.

Pros

I've been a Consultant at DLC for six years and have worked with over a dozen clients. I've gained skills in M&A, Sell-side Due Diligence, Finance Planning & Analysis, Executive Leadership, Financial & Technical accounting, Pricing, Financial Modeling, Acquisition Integration, Project Management and a handful of ERP and planning systems. The CEO and Management team at DLC are outstanding! I've worked on several team engagements and have been very impressed with the other DLC Consultants. Several leadership opportunities have helped me grow professionally. Joining DLC was the best move of my career. I'm looking forward to more adventures at DLC!

Cons

DLC is highly selective in who it hires, which is a good thing. However, in a few situations I've known people who are highly qualified and interested, but don't have the required Top 25 MBA or Big-4 CPA background. It's too bad, though I understand why it is necessary.
