Pros

If you are lucky enough to have a supportive supervisor, training and growth opportunities can be an option.

Cons

Tons of management/company wide changes on short notice. New management and turnover is very common.

Pros

Insurance and a paycheck - that's all.

Cons

ZERO communication. You will come into work to find you're in a new department, your manager has changed, or your job title has changed - without any notice! It should be common sense that this would create panic and uncertainty about job security. This is why so many people are resigning. You are expected to work at all times - be prepared to work 60 hours a week, on weekends, and during paid time off. If you are exempt, they will work you to death so they don't have to increase headcount. All Japan cares about is headcount, not the big picture. Many managers have favorites and display unprofessional and vicious behavior. Management will retaliate against you for speaking up about unethical practices. You will never receive any form of appreciation. Your peers will get away with unfinished projects because they lie about it or even better, they rush and make catastrophic mistakes that take more time to correct than it would have to spend the necessary time on it in the first place (if you're a favorite, you can get away with anything). If you are honest and put in the necessary time in to ensure high quality work, you will be severely punished and threatened for not working fast enough. DMG MORI prefers quantity or quality, every time.
