Pros

DMI's window dressing is very nice. The HQ office is reminiscent of West Coast tech start-ups -- break rooms with large screen TVs, cappuccino/latte machines, and snacks. The offices are nice and there are lots of signed sports memorabilia lining the hallways. DMI parties are over the top -- at the National Building Museum, open bar including a tequila shot conveyor belt, multiple bands, and professional-quality awards ceremony. Again, this is all just window dressing. Definitely intended to impress outsiders, visitors and bankers.

Cons

On the inside, DMI is completely toxic. Executives and senior leadership do not care about DMI employees. They are focused only on growth at the expense of everything else (caring about clients, doing quality work, creating a positive culture, and treating people well). The office space and office parties as just putting lipstick on the pig. Executives back stab each other. Groups within DMI are openly hostile to each other. The blame game is alive and well. And the top leadership does absolutely nothing to stop it. If anything, they encourage the in-fighting, somehow believing that the best will rise to the top. Like another reviewer said, this is like "Office Space", except that these characters are real. The place is imploding, which is not surprising at all to those on the inside.

If you have a choice, do NOT make the move to DMI! - Think "Office Space"...

Pros

Great value add solutions. Top notch engineers that will work all hours of the night to support customers. Customer service is key for clients!

Cons

Does not care about employees. Micro management at it's finest. Operations is constantly fighting with sales and refusing to work hand in hand to close deals. Irrational quotas. Management does not keep their word. If you're promised a raise, promotion, review or anything that would require more salary, don't expect it. There is little respect from the top down. If you're not a VP, don't expect to get anyone's ear. They are after new contracts, and new contracts only. Asking for help or support puts a target on your back. Executives speak and even email derogatory language to their subordinates, with little regard for who might see or hear. The expectation is that you work...ALWAYS. Nights, weekends, vacations, honeymoon...ALWAYS. No exceptions.

Pros

If on the right project, you'll get to work in the mobility space. Pay is average.

Cons

Management will leverage employee pay to bump up their bonuses. Watch your back. There is no bench. If project ends or halted be ready to hit the bricks.
