      Pros

      Competitive and smart people who make you want to be the best you can be. You are not dealing with incompetant people.

      Cons

      Sometimes it is too competitive and people are not as helpful as they can be. Work at times can be too long.

      Reputable firm, no longer focused on traditional profit centers

      Pros

      - well known in trading space; a household name. HR and marketing do a terrific job getting the name out there - generally smart people and good tech - great culture and work-life balance, people are respected - people stay here for a long time and are generally happy

      Cons

      - no longer seriously focused on traditional market making desks, losing focus to more eccentric risk taking strategies, venture capital, real estate, crypto, improving operational efficiency etc. Overall firm could be doing well but definitely feels like they hit a wall with traditional market making compared to its peers (ymmv by desk) - becomes more corporate as company adds headcount, a lot of operational roles feel redundant - (comp / reputation) ratio is below my expectation - benefits are ok but not great compared to other similarly reputable trading firms or big tech

We’ve definitely diversified the firm as a way to reduce our reliance on one strategy, but providing liquidity and ensuring healthy markets still remains at the core of what we do. We agree that our culture of respect and balance is special in this industry -- and we need to protect it as we know it’ll will be core to our success as we address some of the growth-related challenges you also shared.

      Large company, mixed bag

      Pros

      There are a lot of very smart people here, people are generally ethical and the company is well capitalized.

      Cons

      The firm is still very silo’d and it’s not collaborative at all. One’s experience is most likely dependent on their team.

      The best feedback you can give us is that we’ve built an ethical and fair culture – without that, not much else matters. We definitely hear you on the fact that with so many different desks, groups can sometimes feel segmented. If you have specific ideas on where we can improve, we’d love to hear them.
