Pros

Talented group of developers, QA, implementation, product management, project management, technical services staff and managers, and SCRUM Masters.

Cons

The managers above the teams are, in my opinion, destroying the company. They are hiding the truth of what is happening from the executives that founded the company. These managers spend a good deal of effort ensuring that nobody speaks directly to the executives and they try to find out about anybody that does so. Speaking up is done at your own peril because these managers will exact their revenge. The teams are trying to be productive despite this horrible environment and it becomes more painful by the day. I am writing this review because I have another offer, but I wouldn't do so otherwise since I am sure they would stop at nothing to find out who wrote this. These managers have somehow duped the executives into thinking they are capable, but the fact of the matter is they are just paper pushers playing telephone with communications (and often getting the facts wrong either incompetently or purposely) that used to go directly from the teams up.

Pros

The benefits are amazing, only $1 every two weeks for full medical coverage for employee and family. Salary meets average industry standards. Product, career path and work life balance is all top of the line. We are also offered an HSA that the company contributes to. Insurance starts the first of the month after you come board- nice that there is little wait. We receive vacation and sick time, 401K with matching % and all of the Gov't holidays off. PTO time increases the longer you are with company. They offer tuition reimbursement.

Cons

Pros

Opportunities to make an impact in the lives of Veterans Opportunities to help shape the organization's course Friendly coworkers, throughout DSS' various department Unheard of in most other companies health insurance benefits (single/family) Education benefits Career advancement Employee Care/Flexibility

Cons

The company is growing and shifting from what some may consider a mom and pop shop way of doing things to a more standard business enterprise. As a result new hires coming from larger organizations may need to readjust to this company's culture but as said previously it also offers the opportunity to provide guidance and help shape the company for the better.
