Poor software development practices. Wizard of Oz deployments and audit exercises are common. Leadership void with no accountability. Teams and individuals are pitted against each other. Failures are proclaimed successful. There are no real standards, metrics or data by which decisions are made - it’s 100% political. Most people seem to be working for a paycheck and not much else. Some teams work crazy hours due to poor planning, foresight and a lack of leadership.
