Be prepared to kiss up to managers and team leaders if you want to progress in this job. It's a popularity contest, headed by sycophants. If you're not the teachers pet, be on your toes. Basic pay is very low, it is apparent that DTCC is taking advantage of the average wage in North Wales. Constantly told that financial reviews are ongoing, then inevitably disappointed when there is no real improvement to pay structure. High turnover of staff before the end of their probation periods. Others fired for minor issues. Current software is outdated, but is apparently being updated soon. There is a lot of new blood in the Wrexham office - it becomes clear very soon which management staff have no prior experience in this role. I have never experienced office politics in a company to this scale. I hope the US senior management have a magnifying glass on the management they have hired in the Wrexham office - especially certain team leaders who spend all day gossiping and bring nothing to their team.
