- Poor management/senior management. - Too much process; very difficult to navigate through the 'red tape' to get anything done. - Bad technology - do not put staff, especially middle management, in a position to succeed - too much spending on low-value add or no value add initiatives

Used to be a great place to work, with a very collaborative environment, good team spirit, good work/life balance, etc. However, in recent years they've extensively turned over the management staff, replacing long time DTCC managers with people from other Wall Street firms. As such it's become like most other Wall Street terms - i.e. constant threat of layoffs, backstabbing, scapegoating, reduced work/life balance, etc. I left in 2015 and found a great role with another company. Wish I had made the move earlier.
