Cons

Most of the higher-ups are idiots, and demand to have their way constantly. During COVID their ineptitude got multiple people;e killed, and they only changed protocol to save lives after the fact.

Paid 4 yr apprenticeship with increasing pay. Maybe you will get a company vehicle at 30 months. If you have previous military, field or plant experience, this job is for you. Strong union.

Cons

Job is 15% annoying. Storm restore of electrical customers is like earning blood money. Company's stance on safety is inconsistent. If you don't have military, field or plant experience, crossing over to other field jobs is not possible.
