Not the worst but far from good

Pros

DXP offers flexible hours. Not too nitpicky with doctor appointments, etc. as long as you make up the hours/work. They offer great benefits (medical, 401K). Average vacation time (but you don't get them until you've been working for a full year...) and normal holidays. You'll meet some of the most down-to-earth, awesome people. They host cool company events, if you can afford to go.

Cons

The pay is garbage. You have to be a relative or senior executive to get any sort of compensation. If you are a woman, I'll save you the time and frustrations. This company is wildly sexist and does not take any sort of complaint very seriously. HR exists as a department as a legal technicality, not as someone to help and protect you. The men are condescending and misogynistic and will only treat you as a secretary. Won't even get into the awful, creepy comments that come from some of them. As I said, vacation doesn't come until a year in so that's annoying. On the flip side of the awesome-people coin, you will have to work with some of the absolute worst, most unhelpful people to ever apathetically be a part of the workforce. And on that same note - that's the general company culture (depending on the office). Just disrespectful and inner fighting...

Good ol' boy enterprise

Pros

Depending on your direct supervisor you could have a positive view on hours and feeling of being autonomous. My current supervisor is great, they are understanding and allow freedom and are willing to trust their employees. When I first started it was a true nightmare. There is experience to be had at this company, but that's about it.

Cons

Zero bonuses, zero raises unless you threaten to leave which should never happen. Constant turn around. The executive side of the business is very much a good ol boy atmosphere. You can tell it's a company run by older men, they are slow to change and slow to act. Also zero, and I mean truly zero upward movement within the company.
