Pros

Strong Company Values & Vision: The organization has a clear, well-communicated mission that guides its decisions and culture. Patient-Centered Culture: Genuinely prioritizes patient care and outcomes — it’s not just talk, it’s embedded in daily operations.

Cons

Inconsistent Onboarding Experience: Onboarding only works well if there’s a strong preceptor and active support from the facility administrator. Otherwise, new leaders are left to figure things out on their own. Leadership Gaps in Management: Many leaders have clinical expertise but lack formal leadership training or experience. This often leads to recognition being disproportionately awarded based on clinical background, not leadership ability. Poor Work-Life Balance: PTO is not respected in practice — peers often remain available during their time off, which sets a precedent that real time off is not possible. Uncompetitive Pay for Experienced Leaders: Compensation does not reflect leadership experience; seasoned professionals often feel undervalued financially, especially compared to market benchmarks. Chronic Staffing Shortages: Clinics regularly struggle to find adequate nurse and technician coverage. Staffing issues are a daily concern, leading to burnout, stress, and challenges maintaining quality care.
