Cool Job, Bad Pay/Benefits

Pros

Being able to say that you work for a pro sports team is very cool. Most people are under 30 so the culture/environment is young and hip. Occasional interaction with players. Access to a few special events and tickets to games. You don't take work home with you, unless you are working a game. Initial training is pretty good, but you really learn by doing the job itself. Upper Management is pretty cool but pretty serious. Good amount of time off.

Cons

Basically no upward advancement past the Account Exec role. Base pay is comical, especially if you are Inside Sales. If you don't sell a lot, you will be struggling to pay bills. Management wants a higher quantity of calls rather than quality (60+ for AE's & 100+ for Inside Sales). Your clientele occasionally makes you question whether the job is worth it or not. Everyone outside of upper management lives in Dallas, so the office being in Frisco is not ideal. You also have to pay for tolls each way and traffic is terrible. No good incentives for reaching goals outside of small bonus. Must work every home game unless sick, or at a wedding/funeral.
