      family focused environment focused on training, efficiency and excellence. A great place to work and an industry leader in casual dining

      i feel like i should have been promoted earlier. i feel like other companies pay more for the hours we are expected to work.

      Pros

      I felt completely comfortable asking questions. The managers really seemed to care about me and how I was doing. There was plenty of opportunity for advancement.

      Cons

      I did not have any specific negatives about working for Darden, but working in the restaurant industry as whole can be very hard and challenging work.

      Pros

      Coworkers were the main reason you stay here at Darden (my case is Olive Garden). Pay varies from night to night, you could make $200 one Saturday night, then make only $40 the next. Half off of food during your shift is a bonus. Overall friendly, non-competitive work environment between co-workers.

      Cons

      Incompetent management made working here difficult. Over my two year stay at my location, I had 9 different managers.
