Pros

Medical benefits were as good as one could expect (on par with state employees). 401k matching was good, but the investment options were pretty boring. Ultimately it's a glorified savings account, which is fine as long as you maintain other investments. I worked in multiple departments and on multiple teams, and my experiences in each were all drastically different. It's not unusual in a company of this size. But I do think the intra-department variance can be extreme. Being on one team in a department was a wonderful experience. The manager was a bit pedantic at times and seemed to think most people weren't very smart, but they were decent and brought out the strengths on the team. And while s/he didn't give opportunities for employees to present their work to leadership (s/he always presented their work), s/he did make efforts to give employees opportunities to work with other individuals and teams, giving them a chance to understand the company in a more holistic way and letting them show others in the company what they can do.

Cons

When I moved to a different team within the same department, it was a nightmare. The supervisor brought out the worst in everyone and growth was strongly discouraged. I was given false promises to string me along, and the supervisor gave me a negative employee review because I didn't share enough about my personal life. Staying with this team actively did damage to my career. I don't think a lot of effort goes into correcting the complaints of the manufacturing employees. And it didn't help that some supervisors encouraged us corporate employees to be vague and/or outright dishonest with them. Dealing with the Leave of Absence department was nightmare I wouldn't wish on anyone. Salaries are lower than competitors, which I didn't mind, but if you're depending on that income for living expenses you might be in trouble. I was horrified at how many of my co-workers had two or more jobs. And lastly, like many companies, Dart told disabled employees that working from home was not an accommodation they could have, but corporate went completely work from home as soon as COVID hit, and with great ease. Basically, it was impossible when it effected disabled people, but it was easy as pie when it effected the abled population.

Pros

Good starting pay, but little annual pay increases.

Cons

Poor management with no concern for their employees. Filled with favoritism and do not abide by their own core values. Treat employees as being easily replaceable and are not valued.

A lot of silos. Slow to innovate and keep up with competition.
