Pros

The best thing about Dartmouth is it will look great on a resume. Being an Ivy League school, it is well respected and can get you an interview just about anywhere in the country when you are ready to leave. Very generous vacation and sick time.

Cons

In the past few years, most of the good things about working at Dartmouth have evaporated. The health benefits- previously very, very generous- are now average at best. They simply do not seem to care about their employees any longer. Parking costs have gone up, fitness center membership has gone up. Like it or leave it is the overall attitude in administration. Opportunities for promotion are very limited. As another reviewer mentioned they like to hire from other universities (Harvard!) for senior positions rather than promoting from within.
