Pros

CATIA is highly regarded, and the acquisition of Matrix One was a good move. Emloyees receive a good deal of autonomy.

Cons

DS is taking a Daussault-only approach with their customers, attempting to force then to leave other products. (Open-architecture is frowned upon, regardless of the marketing message.) Customers become unhappy in the limitations, and a number of large ones have left DS. Career and pay growth are non-existant, and there's a lot of back biting amongst management.

Pros

There are some great middle level managers and DS has world class technologies.

Cons

DS corporate HR policies are in line with other large corporations (not a good thing) but some of them are tyrannical and do NOT have the employees well-being in mind. One policy in particular forces employees back to the office for a minimum of 3 days a week (after working remote since COVID). Ok, no big deal for most but why after 4 years do they feel it’s necessary? What happened to their trust? This is causing some hardships. DS claims to care about people, the environment and being sustainable. But in reality, they are wolves in sheep’s clothing; forcing workers back on the road, burning more fuel and car emissions- whether you live 10 miles or 175 miles away, NO EXCEPTIONS. This is also a company, that during COVID gave short notice to its employees, UNCONSTITUTIONALLY mandating they get vaccinated with an unproven, non-FDA approved drug. Basically, take the jab or you’re terminated. I had to seek legal help to keep my job and that policy did NOT age well. I imagine there will be a lot of class action lawsuits in the near future. In Summary, DS pays well but beware of that smiling facade; offering bagels on Wednesdays and ice cream socials…but it comes at a price. Big brother is tracking their employees locations daily and performs audits to keep you between the guardrails. So good for the soul.

Short-sighted policies and decisions from obstinate upper management

Pros

Decent healthcare and 401k matching.

Cons

Rigid, "no exceptions" return to office policy for the rank and file workers, with no consideration given to individual roles, responsibilities or team structure. Everyone must be in an office to "collaborate", even if their entire team is on the other side of the country, or distributed around the world, but at the same time there is a "travel freeze" so nobody can travel to actually collaborate with their team in person. Employees within 50 miles of an office must be in the office three days per week, and HR now run badge reports to catch those that don't comply. Exceptions to the distance rule appear to be possible for directors and above though. Compensation is lacking compared to other tech companies. There are no stock options or grants, just an overly complicated stock purchase plan where employees are limited to investing 3.57% of their OTE, and even then the plan isn't available all of the time. The company wants customers to trust its own cloud platform, but refuses to trust cloud based collaboration solutions such as M365/Teams or Slack. Instead we have to use mostly outdated on-premise solutions and a home grown collaboration platform that is clunky, slow, and lacking in features that have been available for many years in other platforms.
