One of the best companies I've ever worked for

Pros

Employees and community members assume when layoffs happen at Data, it must be Data's fault. Data Dimensions is a 'services' oriented company, so if layoffs happen, it's due to a customer decreasing their workload. Data has created so many jobs within a community that so needed it. When a customer decreases their workload, staffing needs decrease. It's that simple. Sometimes contractual agreements dictate how much of a heads up employees get on when they will be laid off, how it's handled, etc. This last round of layoffs was the "client's" doings, not Data's. I am proud to work for a company that continuously tries to think of ways to make it a better place for their employees and do so much within the community. I feel bad for my laid off team members, but know that this company would never have done it unless they were forced to by reduced client workload. These layoffs are hard enough without all the unnecessary bashing going on in some of these reviews.

Cons

I am happy with my job and don't have any cons at this point.

Pros

Working from home and having the flexibility of the hours I could work was the biggest pro in working for Data Dimensions. The training is extensive. The opportunity to make more money can increase depending on your own quality and speed of work. There were a few opportunities to advance into other positions at the home office if I had been able to do that. They are a continuously growing company that have and will continue to have opportunities for employment for our community.

Cons

There were really only 2 things that I would consider a con in working for Data Dimensions. The first was the amount of required overtime, which got to be very overwhelming with increased hours for over a year. The second con would have to be that the only way to have an increase in pay would be to type faster. When you max out on your typing speed you are at the same pay for a long time.

Pros

The people are great -- flexibility of the job can't be beat!! Bonuses are performance based, so I am sure to work as hard and do the best job I can. I don't want to work for any other company. Ever. I feel privileged and honored to call myself a Data Dimensions team member.

Cons

Just like a lot of other jobs -- we are sometimes required to work extra hours. This can be somewhat disappointing, but it comes along with the job. Not really a big deal at all.
