Pros

Prior to the Rockwell-Collins era, DataPath was a company that took great care of the customer and the employee. The assignments were touch and there was no micro-management. Upper management knew their place and field personnel did their job.

Cons

Rapid growth (and bad decisions) was the poison. Rule #1: Never hire a former customer to occupy a position that requires high level decision making skills. Rule #2: The so-called 'business savvy' are not really 'business savvy'. They're greedy. Rule#3: The experienced field personnel make the business a success. Never take that success (or the finances) and put it in the hands of new VPs, CEOs or Business Management Groups. This is equivalent to handing the zookeeper's keys to the monkeys.

Good people, but not so ethical management.

Pros

Many of the people there are great people that really want to make things work. This also applies to mid-level managers. Many are willing to put in long hours on a project for a fixed salary as they are proud of their work.

Cons

Many of the people there are the ones that didn't get laid off and are overworked. They hope that they could recover from what was once a mighty Rockwell Collins Company. No bonuses or raises, even with recently gaining a large contract, nothing to show to their employees for it.

Pros

With little to no experience you can gain employment with this company. Medical plan is decent

Cons

Leadership and management willingly and often mislead, if not out right lie to employees. When asked about changes in business approaches and strategy. Their tactic is to misdirect or ignore the question. If an employee leaves for any reason after they are gone there are attempts at reprisal towards that person. I have heard managers say some very disrespectful and downright nasty things about those that have left. And there is no confidentiality with any of them. If you go to them in confidence, your business will be in the street before you leave their office.
