Pros

• Really passionate and collaborative team, healthy conflict and risk taking is encouraged • Leadership is transparent and open • The work is interesting and there is the opportunity to do different things depending on career aspirations and development areas • I have a great manager who is very supportive and whom I can be open and honest with • Compensation is fair (caveat, I did join the company in the past year) • Ability to have flexible work schedule when needed • Career development resources and programs have room to grow but are a focus area which is positive

Cons

• Culturally the company is very fast paced and everything feels like it's a top priority which can lead to burn out, work/life blend continues to be an area of opportunity (even little things like leadership modeling taking time off could make a big difference) • Benefits overall are not super competitive • Environment could be more inclusive for working parents, caregivers, those in unique life situations, etc who have important responsibilities outside of work

Pros

They pay very well but at the expense of your well-being.

Cons

You’ll notice a common theme in the reviews for Databricks about bad management, it’s true. The managers here have little to no experience and will treat you like crap. Recommendation: don’t work here unless you’re ok with an incompetent manager who will belittle and threaten you.

Pros

Databricks has been an amazing place to work! The company consistently hires very smart, very talented people to their technical team. There are many opportunities to develop new skills. The management is very respectful, competent and caring.

Cons

The first 3-6 months at Databricks can feel quite overwhelming. Saying that, they are constantly working on improving the onboarding process.
