Pros

-great product suite - great coworkers - supportive middle management - good office activities / culture

Cons

- huge pay discrepancies dependent on Hire date - far below industry average pay - in office requirement is fairly rigid with minimal room for flexibility - disconnect at SVP/VP/director level as to what the biggest pains ICs face are - internal mobility is next to impossible

Pros

Product is great and constantly evolving

Cons

**Quota Issues:** Quotas are consistently missed across the company, and management isn't doing much to fix it. Account patches have been hammered, and many accounts aren’t of sufficient quality to hit targets. KPI metrics are hammered down which don’t result in success and shows the incompetence of management to not look at quality outreach over just do more to increase your chances of success with your overworked patch of accounts not well suited to the product. **High Turnover:** High employee turnover in the EMEA region is being ignored, largely due to the issues listed here. **Compensation and Career Growth:** Pay and career advancement are below market standards. **Favouritism and Toxic Culture:** Management shows clear favouritism, leading to a toxic culture with big egos and poor leadership. **Unprofessional Feedback:** Employees were asked to rate themselves to the director because he didn't meet his targets. Emails were criticised openly in a negative way, resulting in 2 out of 3 people leaving. **Inappropriate Behaviour:** A manager is known for sending inappropriate messages to staff current and past on WhatsApp and Instagram. It’s disgusting as he has a wife and multiple kids. Yet they wonder why female staff retention is low. This is only one example of many situations women in Datadog in Dublin have been subjected to. **Work Environment:** The work environment feels lifeless and overly controlled, similar to a strict school, with horrendous tension. **Leadership Issues:** Leadership feels like it's run by a schoolyard bully with a huge ego, adding to the toxic atmosphere. It's disappointing to see the decline in what was once a great company culture. Management blames sales reps instead of owning up to a poor go-to-market strategy and shows no concern for the well-being of their reps' mental health. The market is also aware of issues with billing, overages, and aggressive sales tactics.
