Pros

Great tech for the commercial market

Cons

If you have seen the movie Boiler Room and like it, this is the place for you. Sales leadership is an absolute joke from the twice a month "All Hands Call" where nothing is learned other than who's in the good old boys club to the the weekly Slack asking "who's closing what?" from the CRO. They talk about the rocket ship revenue growth but don't tell you its all in the commercial market. They are not ready for Enterprise sales, ask them to name their top 10 Enterprise customers and the revenue associated with those accounts. It's a 12-18 month sales cycle and they promise a long runway to build your business/funnel but you will be on a performance plan by month 6. Turnover is extremely high...as of today there are 1,263 employees and 701 former employee's according to LinkedIn. If you are applying for a job here, I highly recommend you reach out to get the real story from the person you are replacing.

Pros

Great product but that’s literally all this company has to offer is a great product.

Cons

Unmanageable workloads. They want quality over quantity but also want you hitting 100 touch points a day. The culture they portray in interviews is not one bit of what it’s actually like working there. They ask you to push their events but will also get upset that you didn’t hit your daily KPIs within your accounts. Leadership is just a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off running around. They say they want to help and coach you to get to the next step in your career but it’s all smoke and mirrors. Leadership in the sales org at least don’t care about anyone but themselves. The favoritism is off the charts at this company. If you aren’t brown nosing your managers or leadership they’ll go to the extreme to get you out. The whole sales org is a disaster!!!!

Pros

Datadog has fantastic work perks like paying for 75% of your gym membership, cell phone reimbursement, 3 free catered lunches a week, and a good snack selection.

Cons

CS Leadership offers no guidance or coaching on how to perform the job effectively and efficiently. They bring no value to their employees and do not allow their employees to reach their fullest potential. I requested numerous times for coaching and feedback and I was not provided any feedback or constructive criticism from them. They also are very political and like to play the favorites game. If you are not a favorite then you will not be allowed to take "unlimited time off". There are no KPI's for the role so they can create fake KPI's that never existed to reprimand you. In addition, CS leadership is scatter brained, disorganized, and has poor time management abilities. If you want to grow and expand your skill set is as a Customer Success Manager, then Datadog is not the right fit.
