Pros
Since joining Dataminr last year, I've been impressed by the enthusiasm, technical ability, and commitment of the staff. The technical product is very well put together and the operational structures around it that deliver for clients are what sets it apart from other products in this space. With the AI explosion in the market, it's refreshing to see people using the technology for real, and not getting massively caught up in the hype. In my role I feel empowered to contribute and shape my work to support the vision of the company. The flexibility and work / life balance is great - provided the work is done, you can flex working patterns to fit (obviously this isn't true for all roles). This results in happier staff who deliver more work.
Cons
There is so much opportunity that it can feel like everyone is being pulled in different directions a lot of the time.
