      Micro managers No accountability Poor performers are rewarded Loosing valuable employees due to petty reprimands and poor wages New review process is counterproductive and downright silly Management positions filled as the last step for lifers and not by the talented No advancement

      This was a great place to work...at first

      Pros

      Friendly coworkers and good working environment at first.

      Cons

      In the beginning, Merrill had strong management. As the company aged the management turned the place into a terrible place to work. Good people left and what we ended up with was just the people who would "put up with it" working there. Managers were put in place that had no business managing teams. The whole place went downhill. They also cut wages and benefits and never fully reinstated them in some cases.

      lots of politics no opptys for growth backstabbing is common place lack of growth in the market lack of direction from senior mangers
