Pros

*15K+ to spend with clients a year (dinners, lunches, drinks, events) However, given Covid 19 I do not know when could we do this again *Build a great network in a short time (Capital Market pros) *High energy and volume industry, good for highly energetic people *Great Customer Support and a well-known brand, which translates to less work for the salesperson *Best product in the industry and a really good bunch of people in most departments *If you are passionate about Capital Markets this could be a great introductory job

Cons

*Company and culture has changed for worse *Executives are focused on the short term right now (especially in EMEA) this cascades to all levels within the organisation (product, support, billing, sales, HR) *Due to Covid 19, there is no fun anymore as you have to work from home! Thus, for the next few months, we expect to have no exposure to clients *The focus now is on calls, emails and online demos (you have to log in everything manually as the systems are crap)... super micromanaging as I have never seen in my 12 years of experience *Compensation plans have changed dramatically "my way or the highway" .. forget about negotiating it (Every other VDR pays substantially more) *Best employees are leaving as they are disgusted with management, the new strategy is to get low paid junior employees (Thus the culture changed dramatically) *It is the most expensive VDR in the market, that was OK 18 years ago but now there are new players that do it better at a fraction of the price Overall, this industry will change dramatically in the next 3 years, IntraLinks and Datasite are trying to create new products with no market fit and are struggling to maintain their market share/price levels... thus, you better have a plan for 2022

Pros

I think the office culture overall isn't too bad. The majority of the staff are friendly and open to help. A really nice and modern office with fruit *once a week. Good for a first short-term job.

Cons

Pay attention to staff. Fix the platform because everyone that works there knows that the entire platform does not work smoothly. Training is always appreciated however if the person who is training isn't very good or engaging it makes them meetings a waste of time as you have to learn it all over again in your own time. Apart from the social events drinking side of things, hardly anyone enjoyed them. The services team was treated like they didn't matter and this was shown by looking at how sales were treated in comparison. Sales are not in contact with the clients as much as the service team so it would make sense to appreciate them a bit more and not offer the left over snacks from sales. If you want to move up, make sure you tell management every little detail of everything you have done. Don't do anything just because, do it to be seen.
