Pros
The business is constantly growing, opening up new positions and departments which in turn offer more jobs. As it continues to grow new skills are needed throughout the departments and coworkers will (in my experience) take time to teach you. Certain management (pending on the job) is very flexible with what hours you work. You can't just pick anytime that you want to work but, they are very accommodating if you have conflicting schedules. The coworkers at DaySmart are for the most part all very easy to get along with giving you a laid back yet productive environment. Your quick to make friends making it more enjoyable as you work. The new benefits (medical/dental/vision) are amazing at a good price, along with their match rate for your 401k. Best for last are the Fun Friday lunches. We would usually get different kinds of pizza peppered in with other sub/sandwich places. Now being based out of Ann Arbor we have gotten to try a lot of the local places that Ann Arbor as to offer which is great.
Cons
There is a lack of structure within the company. A lot of times employees that have worked here even over 5 years still are confused who to go to with certain things. However, moving from a smaller to a larger company, structure comes with time. The worst con would be that there is little to no communication within the office. Again it could just be because of the shift of the company but this goes with not having any structure. Different departments can sometimes make changes to certain rules or protocols and are not always informed to everyone. This causes a lot of unnecessary conflict and does nothing but hurt the company.
