Pros

Prime office location, located downtown chicago

Cons

The environment is very unprofessional, the "throwing under the bus" and "snitching" behavior is encouraged here. Managers have issues with employees using there vacation/sick personal time, inappropriate race comments and jokes are always made in this office. No levels for advancement within the admissions, and support services departments. Employee development training is very remedial. Leadership in departments barely know the functions of their jobs. Lots of unethical behavior in this company.

Pros

Great pay and benefits. Company matches 4% in the 401K through Fidelity. Great health insurance with optical included. Dental is available.

Cons

Consant employee and management turnover. No job security at all. A lot of lay offs every year. Performance reviews are more subjective than anything so a manager can manipulate either for or against an employee at any time. There is no set standard to go by the "Does not fully meet expected results =1", "Steal Developing = 2", Fully Effective = 3, and Exceeds expectations = 4 on an employee performance review. It is all subjective because it depends on the managers opinion only with no set criteria of what these standards are defined. Job performance also depends on who is in the managment position at that particular time. Some managers feel that certain matters are more important than others and they judge an employee's job performance on that belief. It is a constant battle everyday. The pay is not worth the headache of losing great colleges while knowing you could be next.
